Encouraging Your Child to Wear a Helmet
Let your child select a helmet. Most dealers will offer a selection of colors and designs.
Wear your helmets when you ride with your child. Setting a good example is essential!
Praise and reward your child each time he wears his helmet.
Begin the helmet habit with your child's first wheel toys. This will make wearing a helmet the natural thing for your child to do.
Encourage other parents in your neighborhood to purchase helmets for their children. Your child will not be different wearing a helmet if peers do so too.
